Tokyo Jihen New Single Sora ge Natteiru / Onna no ko wa Dare demo

After a number one album and a successful nationwide tour, Tokyo Jihen is kicking off their 2011 activities with the double A-side single Sora ge Natteiru/Onna no Ko wa Dare demo. Composed by member Kameda Seiji, Sora ga Natteiru eschews bandleader Shiina Ringo's experimental musical style for a more tradition rock tune with a strong guitar presence.

It's also the latest theme song for the chewing gum commercial starring Ringo. The single's other A-side track Onna no Ko wa Dare demo is also the theme song for a series of ads for a cosmetics brand.

As reported earlier, “Sora ga Natteiru” is being used as the new CM song for Glico’s ”Watering kiss mint gum“, which also stars Tokyo Jihen’s vocalist Shiina Ringo.

The other track, “Onna no Ko wa Dare demo“, has also been chosen as a CM song for Shiseido’s cosmetic line, MAQuillAGE“. Shiseido’s CM will get a double hit of Shiina Ringo, as the vocalist was picked up to be the image model for them as well.
