AKB48 New Single Everyday, Kachuusha

After debuting at the top spot of Oricon Daily Charts and selling 1 million copies in 2 days, AKB48's New single, "Everyday, Kachuusha" breaks Oricon Weekly Charts effectively becoming the highest first-week single sales record in Japan.

They have done it. With reported first week sales of 1,333,969, AKB48‘s newly released “Everyday, Kachuusha” has officially set the new record for highest first week sales of a single. The previous record was established back in 1996, when Mr.Children‘s “Namonaki Uta” went on to sell 1,208,230 copies in its first week.

"Everyday, Kachuusha" is the 21st major single (23rd overall) released by AKB48. The title track was used as the theme song for the film Moshi Koukou Yakyuu no Joshi Manager ga Drucker no "Management" wo Yondara, starring members Maeda Atsuko and Minegishi Minami.
