The Gospellers New Single Never Stop!

The Gospellers (ゴスペラーズ) is a Japanese a cappella singing group comprised of five members: Tetsuya Murakami, Kaoru Kurosawa, Yuji Sakai, Yoichi Kitayama and Masaru Yasuoka.

Before the release of their 12th album Hamo-Rhythm, male chorus group Gospellers is releasing their first 2011 single "Never Stop". Their first single for 2011, the song is a soulful a capella number with the message to keep going without ever stopping. As the title itself, the a cappella tune is about never giving up and moving forward.

The music and lyrics were written by leader Murakami Tetsuya. The coupling track is a live recording of “Kutsu wa Haita Mama” from their “Gospellers-zaka Tour 2010~2011 ‘Hamori Club HIBIKI’” from February of this year at NHK Hall.

"Never Stop" is the thirty-ninth single released by The Gospellers.

9mm Parabellum Bullet Third Single Release Atarashii Hikari

9mm Parabellum Bullet is a Japanese rock band. Their music could generally be described as fast-paced, energetic rock with hints of punk and metal influence.

Rock band 9mm Parabellum Bullet has just announced that they’ll be releasing a new single in May! The upcoming single is their first release of 2011, and it’s titled “Atarashii Hikari”. Scheduled to hit shelves on May 18th, the single will come in both a regular and limited edition.

Nightmare New Single Release VERMILION

After celebrating their 10th anniversary in 2010, visual kei band Nightmare signed with Avex to begin a new phase of their career. Fans don't have to wait that long to hear Nightmare’s newest material, the song itself is an intense tune with emphasis on YOMI’s powerful vocals.

It was released almost one year since their last single, and it was their first one to be released after switching labels to avex trax.

It was released in three different versions: two limited CD+DVD editions and a regular CD only edition. Each limited edition comes with the same CD tracklisting, but differ in the DVD contents; edition A comes with the PV for the title track and edition B comes with the PV for the B-side "ByeBye". The regular edition comes with an extra song, "trauma".

2PM Japanese Debut Single Take Off

Korea's top beast idol group 2PM kicks off their foray into J-pop with their first single Take Off. The group attracted some 25,000 fans to their first Japan showcase last December, fueling anticipation for their Japanese debut single.

On May 9th, 2PM will be releasing a compilation album and a special video that was produced by the members themselves, titled “All About 2PM“. Their debut single is scheduled to hit shelves on May 18th. Starting in April, Take Off will be featured as the ending theme for the anime series Ao no Exorcist. The single also includes the Japanese version of 2PM's K-pop hit Heartbeat.

2PM’s Japanese single “Take Off” has reached the #1 spot on USEN’s J-POP chart. This is the first time a Korean group has reached the #1 spot on this particular chart. The song also reached the #1 spot on a Japanese music lyric site “Uta Net Mobile”, and starting on April 17th, the song will be the ending song for certain animations and release as a ringtone.

DIVA Debut Single Tsuki no Uragawa

AKB48 members Akimoto Sayaka, Umeda Ayaka, Masuda Yuka, and Miyazawa Sae form the group's latest sub-unit DiVA. Labeled as a "dance & vocal group", DiVA aims to focus the visual aspect of their performances as much as the musical aspect, similar to other girl pop groups like Speed.

After having a song in the AKB48 single Sakura no Ki ni Naro, the group now releases their debut single Tsuki no Uragawa. Produced, as always, by AKB mastermind Akimoto Yasushi, the mid-beat dance song presents DiVA as a more elegant, mature AKB48 group.

KAT-TUN 15th Single Release WHITE

KAT-TUN (カトゥーン, Katūn) is a Japanese boy band formed by Johnny & Associates (Johnny's) in 2001. As of 2010, KAT-TUN stands for Kazuya KAmenashi, Junnosuke Taguchi, Koki Tanaka, Tatsuya Ueda and Yuichi Nakamaru.

It’s been announced that KAT-TUN will be releasing their 15th single titled “WHITE” on May 18th, 2011. The single will include the tracks, “WHITE” and “PERFECT” which are both currently used as theme songs for two different commercials. The track “WHITE” is used in the “Sofina Otona no Bihaku” commercial, while “PERFECT” is currently used in Kamenashi Kazuya’s AOKI’s “3D Slim Suits” commercial.

COCOA OTOKA Third Single Release Soldier

Within the famous Japanese music chart ranking ORICON a new group called "Cocoa Otoko." has reached the Top 10 within the daily charts with their debut single "甘い罠 苦い嘘.. / Amai Nawa Nigai Uso...". All of the members are popular young actors.

After debuting in 2010 with “Amai Wana Nigai Uso…“, actors-turned-musicians “Cocoa Otoko.” released their third single, “Solider/’NO you! NO life! NO.. x x’ feat.Me” on May 11th.

KREVA Second Single Of 2011 C’mon, Let’s Go

Kreva (畠山 貴志 Hatakeyama Takashi, born on June 18, 1976) is a hip hop MC and record producer under the Burger Inn Records and Pony Canyon's Knife Edge labels. He is a solo artist as well as a member of various hip hop groups, including Kick the Can Crew, By Phar the Dopest with fellow MC, Cuezero, and a large ensemble of other Japanese hip hop groups in Funky Grammar Unit.

Rapper KREVA just released a new song, “EGAO“, to raise money for charity! “EGAO” was performed at his “KREVA CONCERT 2010 ‘Imishin 3′” concert in October, and it was the last song of the night during the encore. Eighty percent of the profits gained through the sale of the single will be donated to a charity for the Tohoku earthquake relief effort.

KREVA is also releasing a new single, “C’mon, Let’s Go“, on May 11th, and it will be his second single of 2011.

May'n New Single Release Scarlet Ballet

May Nakabayashi (中林 芽依, Nakabayashi Mei, born October 21, 1989) is a Japanese J-Pop artist under the Horipro talent agency, Victor Entertainment label and formerly under the Universal Music label.

Pop singer / voice actress, May’n has announced the release of a new single in May. The single is titled “Scarlet Ballet” and will be produced by Asakura Daisuke. "Scarlet Ballet" is the sixth single released by May'n. The title track was used as the opening theme for the anime Hidan no Aria. This single is described as a "dream" collaboration between May'n and composer Asakura Daisuke, who is behind the fame of T.M.Revolution.

This new digital rock track is already confirmed to be used as an opening theme song for the TBS animation, “Hidan no Aria” (Aria the Scarlet Ammo). For a coupling track, an original song written and composed by May’n will be recorded but the title of the song is unknown at the moment.

You Kikkawa Debut Single Kikkake wa YOU!

In late 2006, Kikkawa auditioned for the eighth generation of Hello! Project's main group, Morning Musume. She was one of the six finalists, but lost to Aika Mitsui in the end.

On April 7, 2007, Hello! Project's official site listed her as a member of Hello Pro Egg. On April 30, 2008, she had her CD debut as a member of the unit MilkyWay for the TV anime Kirarin Revolution.

On January 2, 2011, Kikkawa made her solo live debut as the opening act of the 2011 Hello Project winter tour. Her debut song is titled "Sayonara Namida", and she has since gone on to perform two other new songs, "Candy Pop" and "Fuyuzora Hanabi".

Kikkawa Yuu would be releasing her debut single, “Kikkake wa YOU!“, on March 30th, and that it would be used as the theme song for the upcoming film, “Kikkake wa YOU!“. The single was originally scheduled to be released on March 30th, but it was postponed until May 11th due to the 2011 Tohoku earthquake and tsunami.

J Soul Brothers Third Single Release Love Song

J Soul Brothers was a 7 member Japanese Dance Group. Currently they are apart of EXILE, making EXILE a 14 member group. Hiro, the leader of EXILE, was in the original J Soul Brothers. Before J Soul Brothers, Hiro was in a musical group named Zoo. The first J Soul started in 1999. 2001, the name changed to Exile. When 2007 rolled around, Hiro made a new J Soul Brothers with a whole new group of talents.

Tokyo Jihen New Single Sora ge Natteiru / Onna no ko wa Dare demo

After a number one album and a successful nationwide tour, Tokyo Jihen is kicking off their 2011 activities with the double A-side single Sora ge Natteiru/Onna no Ko wa Dare demo. Composed by member Kameda Seiji, Sora ga Natteiru eschews bandleader Shiina Ringo's experimental musical style for a more tradition rock tune with a strong guitar presence.

It's also the latest theme song for the chewing gum commercial starring Ringo. The single's other A-side track Onna no Ko wa Dare demo is also the theme song for a series of ads for a cosmetics brand.

As reported earlier, “Sora ga Natteiru” is being used as the new CM song for Glico’s ”Watering kiss mint gum“, which also stars Tokyo Jihen’s vocalist Shiina Ringo.

The other track, “Onna no Ko wa Dare demo“, has also been chosen as a CM song for Shiseido’s cosmetic line, MAQuillAGE“. Shiseido’s CM will get a double hit of Shiina Ringo, as the vocalist was picked up to be the image model for them as well.

UVERworld Second Single Of The Year 2011 CORE PRIDE

UVERWorld prepares themselves for a busy 2011 with two single releases over two consecutive months. After Mondo Piece, the band now unleashes Core Pride, their second single of the year. Featuring powerful lyrics inspired by personal experiences, Core Pride also features a rap section by vocalist/lyricist Takuya. The song will also be featured in the Ao no Exorcist animated series. The anime will start airing on April 17th and is currently an ongoing manga on Jump Square, written and illustrated by Kato Kazue.

As the follow-up song for “CORE PRIDE”, they will include “UVER Battle Royal~Keta Hazure mix~” which they mixed their previous songs (and instrumental songs). For the limited edition version, their live video from Fukuoka DRUM LOGOS which was held in December 2010 will be included.

The single will be released on May 11th and comes in two different versions: a limited ‘CD+DVD’ version and a regular ‘CD-only’ version. The DVD includes footage of their December 16th live performance at Fukuoka DRUM LOGOS, as well as clips from between the sets of their “LAST Tour”.

Aiko New Single Home

After looking back at her 13-year career for the first time with the Matome compilation albums, aiko returns with the double A-side single Koi no Super Ball/Home. "Koi no Super Ball / Home" is the 28th single released by aiko. "Koi no Super Ball" was used as the "Calpis Water" commercial song and "Home" is the theme song for the film Hankyuu Densha Katamichi 15fun no Kiseki.

Since the movie is set in the Kansai region, there is a special Kansai version released at the same time. For this version, "Home" is the first track, and it features a different cover jacket, booklet and a special colored CD case. , starring Nakatani Miki and Toda Erika.

The single has a separate cover for each of its three versions, all of which feature a different picture instead of variants of the same shot. The photoshoot for the limited edition single, which features aiko amongst bouncing “super balls”, reportedly required about ten thousand small rubber balls for the shot.

Bump Of Chicken New Single Smile Collaborates With Comic Artist Inoue Takehiko

After the devastating earthquake and tsunami that struck northeastern Japan on March 11, 2011, the Japanese entertainment industry immediately sprung to action. Affected by images of the devastation, rock band Bump of Chicken collaborates with comic artist Inoue Takehiko (Slam Dunk, Vegabond) on the charity single Smile. While the band provides the song, which is serving as the theme song of commercials for Softbank's recovery portal site, Inoue serves as director/illustrator for the song's music video.

The two will work together on “Smile” with Inoue in charge of the illustrations and BUMP OF CHICKEN contributing the music for the commercial which airs from April 15th. Part of Softbank Mobile’s “Let’s Persevere Together Japan” Project, the “Revival Support Portal Site” will feature two commercials, “Smile” and “ONE”, both of which are 30 seconds.

In order to complete the commercial as quickly as possible, BUMP OF CHICKEN finished writing the song only two days after their phone conversation with Inoue. “We think that this work is the result of the deep connection between Inoue’s and our thoughts. We want anyone and everyone to see it”. All proceeds from the single will be donated to the disaster relief efforts.

French Kiss Third Single Release Kakko Warui I Love you!

French Kiss (フレンチ・キス) is a Japanese pop trio unit from AKB48. On June 28th, 2010, during Team B's 5th Stage "Theater no Megami", French Kiss was announced as the newest unit of AKB48. The group will debut with the single "Zutto Mae Kara", which will be used as an ending theme for the sixth season of the anime MAJOR.

"Kakkowarui I love you!" is the third single released by the AKB48 subunit French Kiss. French Kiss held a handshake event to celebrate the release of their new single “Kakko Warui I Love You!” at the Makuhari Messe in Chiba-shi, Chiba.

The members - Kashiwagi Yuki, Takajo Aki, and Kuramochi Asuka – were all excited for the event, but the former might start to consider that she should stay at home for the coming events. The reason is the fact that it was raining again on the release day of their new single.

This single was released in seven different versions, separated into limited and regular editions (save for one). The title track was used as an opening theme song to the TV anime SKET DANCE and the B-side "Kimi Nara Daijoubu" was used as a commercial theme song for 7Net Shopping.

Kanjani8 New Single My Home Get The First Place at Oricon’s Single Weekly Chart

Johnny's pop group Kanjani8 continues their plan of three single releases over three consecutive months with its second release My Home. The song, about being grateful for the little things in everyday life."My Home" is the seventeenth single released by Kanjani8.

Kanjani8’s New single “My Home” has topped Oricon’s Single Weekly Chart for May 23rd, selling 158,000 copies in its first week. This is Kanjani8’s fourth consecutive first place since “Wonderful World!!” (Released June 2010) and their 12th first place overall.

SHU-I Japanese Debut Single Smile For me

SHU-I (So Hot Union of Idols) is a South Korean 5 member band from South Korea. They debuted on September 11th in 2009 with their digital single “Bomb Bomb Bomb”. Before that they had been training for two years together. There are high expectations for these boys - there has already been rumors about them heading in open international music market.

The five-member group has a lot lined up this year though as they launch their careers in Japan. Ken Hirai Thirty Fourth Single Itoshiki Hibi yo

Ken Hirai (平井堅, Hirai Ken) is a Japanese R&B and pop singer. His soulful voice and unconventional looks won him fans following his debut back in the 1990s.

He began his music career back in 1993 when he signed with Sony Music following an audition in Yokohama the previous year while he was a student. His debut single "Precious Junk" and album were recorded the following year and released in 1995.

And Now He is going to release his new single in this year "Itoshiki Hibi yo" and also become his thirty-fourth single. The title track will be used as the theme song for the drama JIN. "Run to you" will be the image song of NEXCO

The Fevers Debut Single Daiku No Ben-San

The Fevers is formed by pop duo Yuzu, Yujin Kitagawa and Koji Iwasawa, with Japanese rock band Triceratops. Its debut single Ben’s Ninth or Daiku no BEN-san (第九のベンさん) has been released, obviously taking a bit of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony — which was also included in Yuzu’s 11th studio album 2-NI released earlier in the year.

However, Beethoven’s appearance is not all that random — the duo’s title track is said to have a sound described as the “antithesis to folksound” and a rock number that borrows from the classical theme of Beethoven’s “Ninth Symphony“.
